Remote work, not just for Digital Nomads
Our hybrid working model doesn’t just benefit those of us who want to travel the world or work closer to our favourite surf spot. It also has a positive impact on family life, so we interviewed our Senior Key Account Manager for our french market, and family man, Florian Dargirolle (he/him). Florian told us all about what hybrid work means to him, and shared what it really changes for parents and families.
“Our hybrid working model allows me to enjoy more time for myself and my family.”
“I can take my children to school and/or pick them up. I am fully involved in their daily lives: I organise after-school activities, take part in meetings with teachers and play with them after school. In addition, my wife and I can pursue our careers on an equal footing, as she can also develop in her professional life.”
With the opportunity to work from home, Florian can save himself long, tiring commutes. However, he mentioned how important it is to have the option of working from our Berlin HQ at any time. “The time and direct collaboration in the office with my colleagues is very important for me so that I am not cut off from the social life of the company and can stay in touch with the team.” Florian also works a part-time model (4 days a week), which gives him extra time for his family.
“My efficiency or availability is never questioned – despite physical absence and reduced working hours. It was even a manager who suggested this model to me, which shows how progressive HolidayPirates is in this respect.”
“I absolutely feel that I am fully accepted in the company with this model.”
